What Assayer does

Assayer reads the business-for-sale listing page you are already viewing, entirely inside your browser, and computes financial metrics from it: valuation multiples, an SBA loan model, a debt-service coverage ratio, and a fit score against criteria you set.

Every analysis is computed fresh, in real time, from the page in front of you. Close the tab and nothing about that listing remains.

What we store

Your Buy Box, and nothing else. Your scoring weights, target criteria, and loan assumptions are saved in Chrome's extension storage so that every listing is scored against your criteria instead of our defaults. If you use Chrome sync, these settings follow your own Chrome profile. They are preferences, not deal data.

We do not store the listings you view, the scores we compute, your browsing history, or a list of businesses you were interested in.

What we do not do

• No network requests. The extension sends nothing anywhere. There is no server behind it, no analytics endpoint, and no account to sign in to.
• No background activity. The extension does nothing when you are not looking at a supported listing page. It requests no alarm, notification, or background permission, and runs no code when your browser is idle.
• No crawling or scraping of marketplace sites from our servers.
• No tracking pixels, no advertising, no sale or sharing of data.
• No processing of any page other than listing pages on the domains named in the extension's permissions.

Anonymous usage counts

The extension keeps simple local counts of feature usage, for example how many times the analysis panel was opened. These are counts only: never listing content, URLs, or browsing data. They stay on your device and are never transmitted.

This website

Everything above describes the extension. This website is separate, and it does collect something. If you use the form on the home page, we receive the email address you enter and the financing option you select.

That form is delivered by Formspree, a third-party form processor, which stores the submission and forwards it to us. We use it to send you the install link and to understand how people using Assayer are financing their acquisitions. We do not sell it, share it with lenders or brokers, or add it to an advertising audience.

Your email address is never connected to the listings you view. The extension has no account and sends us nothing, so there is no link between the two to make.

Write to the address below to be removed, and we will delete you from our list and from Formspree.

Permissions

The extension requests exactly two things:

• Host access to bizbuysell.com, to read the listing you are viewing and display the analysis. The extension is dormant on every other site.
• storage, to remember your Buy Box settings.

That is the complete list. It requests no background, alarm, or notification access.

The paid Dashboard

Assayer Dashboard is a separate paid product, not yet available: a pipeline where you keep the deals you are working, scored against your own criteria. Deals get there because you put them there, one at a time, by saving a listing or entering a deal yourself.

Using it will mean creating an account, and it will store what you explicitly save and nothing else. Installing the free extension does not create an account, and the extension does not send us the listings you view. This section is here so the boundary is clear in advance.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date changes with it, and the Chrome Web Store listing's data disclosures are kept in sync.
